I didn't get the 1st callers number, but the man said he was from Quality Home Solutions & he mentioned Peterborough Council. As I'm Peterborough & I thought this was to do with my council I booked an insulation check & quote for tomorrow.
The 2nd man who called was on the number 01202 403707. He mainly confirmed the details the other man had taken. However he did ask if I was employed or retired. I said I'm on disability benefits, so he cancelled the home visit! He said when someone is on benefits they send their information pack to them before arranging a visit.
This phone number (01202403707) is from a representative (Timothy Davis) of HomeLogic, a company that sells and installs LogicFoam loft insulation. It is quite safe and is not a scam. It's a cold call that tries to persuade you to install this type of loft insulation i.e. spray foam. The caller said that it's part of a Government initiative to supply every home in Britain with this type of insulation. However, I don't believe this - I suspect that this is just salesman's patter.
