Rang me to confirm, ironically, that I am on a list not to receive unsolicited calls. Described themselves as some kind of official sounding department, connected to the OpenReach network, and asked me to confirm my name, address and other details. When I asked why they were making an unsolicited call to confirm that I'm on a list that blocks unsolicited calls, they simply hung up. Possible this is a genuine call, but if it was, why did they hang up abruptly when I started to ask questions?
