Don’t answer this call. It is a scam. They work in pairs and one pretended to be my cousin and the other pretended to be an attorney. Claiming that my cousin had hit a pregnant woman and an elderly woman and was in jail unless we had $10,500 to bail him out or he would sit in jail all weekend.
The caller identified herself as a granddaughter. Said she had been in an accident and was hurt and now in detention and need some help. Would not give a name. Said she was the oldest granddaughter. When questioned with info only she would know she hung up. The fact she would not give a name and the word detention raised red flags. More than likely, she would have asked for money to be sent to her to get out of detention or to pay for medical treatment.
