I received a phone call from this number today, a lady proceeded to say she wanted to introduce me to financial product information. I told her 1. I work in a financial institution and don’t need that info and 2. I’m not aware of giving them my number and appreciated if they removed it.
She then started the same spiel, and I kept repeating each time I’m not interested and please remove my name and number from your list.
When she told me ‘you keep talking and talking’ I replied ‘I kept telling you I’m not interested and to remove my name from your records, but you’re ignoring me’, at which point she replied ‘I will ignore you’. It was here that I told her if I receive another phone call from them I’ll report them for a breach of DPA, and to the ombudsman, she wished me a good day and closed the call.
If they call me again, I will try to elicit the name of the company and reg number and will report them accordingly.
