A friend of mine twice in a day asking for me using this number 040055520.
A male with either a Scottish or Irish accent called a friend of mine asking her if she knew me. My friend asked for his name and how he obtained her phone number? He claimed to have obtained the number from a Family History Company in Sydney but wouldn't reveal his name or why he was calling her called?
He repeated his original question several times, my friend told him she couldn't talk to him because of a poor connection and to ring her back around 15 minutes when she was in a better location. On the first occasion my friend answered her phone and was asked if she know who I was? My friend contacted me to inform me of the phone call received and passed the number on to me me to check. It was not a number I recognised,
Later in the day the caller called my friend again but she but the call went to voice mail. The message stated his name as Simon Bligh from the Sydney Family History Company and needed to talk to me.
After doing a number and name search i discover a company called Worthington Clark where a Simon Bligh. I contacted them to see if they were trying to contact me?
According to the Simon Bligh, they receive multiple calls per day from people who are contacted them with scam calls and the number was not associated with their business in Barowal NSW.
