Posed as a seller responding to my gumtree ad.
Contacted me via text message.

I offered to pay via Paypal (like any sane person). He said he didn't have it. I said I'm not interested.
Suddenly he has paypal, I send the payment through then he sends an angry message saying that he can't access the funds right away, I guess paypal has a restriction on his account. I offer to send him $20 via direct deposit because he claimed he didn't have money to post the item. I agreed.
After he called paypal to find out about getting the funds sooner, he was told it won't be released until tracking confirms I have the item then it takes a couple of days to clear into his account.
For some reason he was furious at me... implying that it was my fault he has account restrictions.
He reluctantly refunded me through paypal but refused to answer my request to refund my $20 I direct deposited. I've been sending messages every day since without response. When I try to call it goes directly to answering service.

It's possible this same person was involved with scamming someone over a v8 engine late last year too
