I received 3 sms messages claiming to be from Telstra who were upgrading their services and wanted o know if my service had been upgraded. They then asked me to reply with the code sent from Telstra so as not to deactivate my line! They said the code was given out give us back the code. another message came saying for me to give them my code to restart my phone for better service and free 10 day national calls.
I was then called by Telstra asking if I was on a chat with someone wanting my codes!
The person on the chat was trying to buy 2 iPhones on my account!
So be aware of scamming. I was dvised that if I was rung or messaged by someone asking for the Telstra code sent to me, do not do it but ask them to send you a code. If they dont you know it is a scam.
