Said I haven't done taxes for 3 years and I was going to be arrested. Says call is from Wellington. Sounds like a Nigerian. He is with the tax crime department.
Missed call, I called back. He was Indian and tried to get me to repeat my name, I got suspect so I asked what it was about, he hung up. I tried to call back and on he kept hanging up. I did get through and said I was reporting the number. Have reported to IRD
Left voice message that the IRD are going to start legal action if I don't call back.
Didn't call back!
A person named John Wright from Tax Crime department informing that there is a complaint on my name. Once I started to ask questions, Googling at the same time and telling him that he is a scammer, he hang up.
This man called me told me I owe money to IRD ! Absolutely bull!
hung up as soon as I answered hen left a voicemail with a pre-recorded message and a bad one at that all I could make out was "call back before we start legal action"
Wellington based landline.
Just a badly recorded message saying to "call back before we start legal action". I called back to have some fun, and abuse them, but there was no reply.
