Received an Urgent marked email stating the following on 18 Nov 2025:
"Your Social Security number has been temporarily suspended owing to the identification of suspicious and illegal activities found during our investigation. (Office of the Inspector General, Social Security Administration)" The message requested I call this REsolution Line in iorder to: "To avoid further limitations, including a potential full identity lock, please contact the Office of the Inspector General within 24 hours to verify your information and begin the resolution process."
Sent me a text message saying it was citi bank, and they were placing a hold on my account. I don't use citi bank. This must be a scam.
